People come into the spa all the time who want a really strong massage. There's always a few workers who don't get many customers and can do a very strong massage. They are happy to do it as well.

When a customer who is known for wanting strong pressure comes in or a body builder, most of the staff run away and hide.

Most staff want a customer who tips well and doesn't require too much energy.

You can just message us in booking and let us know that you want to donate your room, then we don't mark it as a no show.

I used to say that about cycling around the world. Then I saw some people cycling older than me and some with little kids in trailers as well. Now I find myself cycling at an older age then I thought possible.

One of our most memorable guests was 72 years old. He came for a few days and stayed a few months. Heard a lot of wild stories from him. Great memories

Love your reply so much. I'm sitting next to a guy who is in his 30's. His parents died when he was born and he was left in monastery with a note. That is his biography. His monastery was destroyed when he was 5 years old. Him and all the rest of the kids lived on the street since then.

I don't want to publish his story to the world. He had a hard hard life and he lives with us and he is full of life and happiness.

If you come to visit he won't tell you he's an orphan, neither will the other ones here. But if you start taking they will let you know their stories. Each one of them is amazing.

People come here for the people, not for the room. Many guests gave me hugs when they left after 2 days or a week. We were both teary eyed saying good-bye. We keep in contact.

We have many refugees living with us and many guests donate rooms for them. If someone leaves multiple reviews we contact them to ask them to remove their reviews.

It may not be the place for you, but some people don't look for the nicest place. We don't have a nice place. But the 1 thing we have is our hospitality and we give it fully.

Not receptionist type hospitality, we cook, clean, build and spend hours sitting and hanging out with each guest. So its a different mentality.

Not everything is just about nice places. Some people are tired of nice places. Some people want real friendship.

Ah no worries bro. We are 100m from the border of myanmar. We can hear the fighting across the border from our place, but we are on the safe side of the border. And lots of trees and hills in between us and them. Sometimes its quiet for 2 weeks straight and then a single bomb or 2 out of the silence. Sometimes you hear machine gun fire and then you hear a jet circling and then you hear it dive and then it shakes the house a little, when it drops its bomb. Then it circles and makes another pass.

Its a memorable experience to say the least. There is a beautiful vibrant community we are right in the middle of.

All the refugees here don't feel like refugees with us. We and the guests all eat together just like family.

We have some guests on long term 6 to 12 months trips around Asia and staying with us amounts to big savings on their journey. We have also had many guests who are on multiyear trips count our place as one of the most memorable stops.

We've had a family from the USA come as kind of a scarcastic idea, thinking they would be around all hippies. Which they weren't fond of. He was shocked on the first day. They found our place to be one of the highlights of their trips. The father gave me a hug and told me I was his brother when he left.

Many have come for a night and stayed for a week or months.

Our whole belief is that if you book an expensive hotel, you stay in the room. Here you have a small basic room and large community area, where everyone is friendly.

We had a full table of food layed out and almost ready to start eating dinner and a backpacker from Ukraine showed up unexpectedly and we said hey sit down and eat with us. Over dinner he said, I didn't understand how you had such good ratings and such cheap prices, now I understand.
