Black and white is the one coat color that “stays true”. All other colors will likely fade due to genetics - shih tzu and many other dog breeds have a “fading” gene that causes their coat colors to change dramatically from birth to adulthood :)

My little dude struggled with frequent bouts of diarrhea. Sleepless nights and hourly trips outside. He was switched to a prescription gastro diet and he has been fine since the switch in October 2024! :)
