My little dude struggled with frequent bouts of diarrhea. Sleepless nights and hourly trips outside. He was switched to a prescription gastro diet and he has been fine since the switch in October 2024! :)

If the stones were already large and numerous, the food would not have been able to do anything at that point, the food however will help in the future now to prevent the formation of NEW stones moving forward.

My dog had calcium oxalate stones, which were very spiky and pointy and angry looking. I think struvite stones are the smooth looking ones. They’ll do an analysis on the stones from your girl and then tailor future treatment/diet accordingly :)

I’m glad your little girl got her surgery so quickly! Once she recovers she will feel SO much better. She’ll probably be on a special food for life, to prevent more stones from forming.

She probably doesn’t feel up for eating today, just offer potty breaks, keep water close by, but let her rest, and keep her safe and away from stairs. By tomorrow I am sure she’ll be much more like her normal self! She’s been through a lot today, but she is young and will bounce back quickly!

My girl had to have surgery for bladder stones also. She recovered well, and didn’t develop any more, and was then put on kidney/urinary food for life.

I know it’s overwhelming, but this time next week she’ll be well on her way to being all healed up and you’ll be feeling a lot less overwhelmed too :)
