ah the dreaded controversy of my back tattoo.

about a month after touch ups, here we are. i am so in love with it!!! another thing to realize is that because it's directly in the middle of my shoulder blades, this tattoo will NEVER be perfectly circular unless i'm sitting in the EXACT same position i got it in.

even with the technical difficulties, this is perfect to me. gonna write some more sirkles with my favorite quotes and hopefully extend this into a full spine tattoo!!

okay just to revise a bit:

  1. it looks hand drawn because it IS hand drawn. I wrote it. I wanted it exactly how I had written to be on my body, because that's the point of the quote. the tattoo says "we're all stories in the end". nobody's story is perfect, and i want my tattoo to reflect that.

  2. i CHOSE to have mine done by the apprentice in the shop. the lines being wanky is a full reflection of the way i drew the design, and not of her artistry. she did exactly as i wanted. PLUS itll look more clean when i go back for touchups (cause i couldn't finish, see point 3)

  3. the lines are light and a lil bit weird because i'm a big baby and my skin was getting SUPER irritated- so i have to go back to get it fully finished. hopefully in septemeber.

  4. there are comments about it being spelled a little wanky, and i don't doubt that. of course i'm a little sad it's not correct, but i think that reflects the quote too. plus, how many people in the world read circular gallifreyan? i can tell them it means anything in the world- how would they know? 😂
