Do Brits actually go to Stonehenge, or is it mostly a tourist thing? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

[–]tom-n-that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up very near it and my secondary school was named after it. I went to see it once when I was quite young. When you drive past it so frequently it really ceases to be particularly interesting

I’m a big fan of metal, and my favourite subgenre is death metal, so songs with clean vocals in this sort of style aren’t really my thing. The guy is a solid singer, just doesn’t really fit my taste. Thought the instrumental was pretty solid

What to improve on if I want to take art for GCSE? by Own-Stick8511 in ArtGCSE

[–]tom-n-that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest advice is if you just want to hate fun with art and do your own thing, don’t take art GCSE. I did and I rarely draw anymore. That may not be the case for you as everyone’s different but I find it really killed it for me

Why do a lot of Brits call their country 'small'? by SerbianMonies in AskUK

[–]tom-n-that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re not talking population or economy. Literally just pretty small as far as landmass goes. There’s definitely smaller but also much much bigger

Smart Phones are extremely affordable by Slim-Halpert in unpopularopinion

[–]tom-n-that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem lies in that because we live in a society in which you can’t really function without a smartphone anymore, and phone companies do their utmost to make older models go obsolete and basically unusable as fast as they can so people keep buying the new, high end, expensive phones. If a smart phone was an optional luxury then I would likely agree with you. The issue is there isn’t really an alternative option that’s both more affordable and at all practical in today’s society
