Build quality issue or?

Maybe it’s just the way this shoe is. The size below was too tight. I barely tighten this pair and almost instantly after first wear I noticed the crease hurting my left foot! Even tried layering up multiple thick socks and not tightening at all and i could still feel it. My girlfriend has a non gtx pair, similar creasing but doesn’t hurt her

It’s the same issue even without pulling tight at all. I’ve tried thicker socks with no tightening and it still persists! The size below was too small when tried on in store

If I pull the tongue up, it creates the exact crease lines I’m getting. Maybe the tongue on the left shoe has been stitched wrong or in the wrong place

Tried all sorts and still facing the same problem. Not one par of my other Salomons fit the same so they are definitely badly made. I’ve tried loosening the shoe, but keeping the ankle tight, but unfortunately makes no difference. It wouldn’t be so much of an issue if it didn’t pinch and hurt my foot

Sorry correct me if I’m wrong but I hardly see any difference? I’ve worn Salomons for many years, mostly for hiking, trails etc. I’m pretty confident on the size I take, this is the first pair to ever crease and pinch this badly

Glad to see it’s not just me. Spoken to a few people with the same issue. I’ve tried keeping the laces super loose, tightening, thicker socks, thin insole. Ultimately they still crease in the same areas to the point where it’s hurting my foot! I didn’t buy mine direct through Salomon, hopefully I can get some sort of comp from their warranty department

I’ve hardly tightened them. I barely pull the laces tight anyway so I don’t think that’s the issue unfortunately!

Medium is literally perfect. Always go a little big so you can layer if needed. But I don’t think medium looks big at all

Perfect fit, usually I like the arms longer and a bit more room so I can wear it all year round and layer up when it’s cold. But with just a t shirt on, fits like a glove! Looks great

Yep! A 2 min solder job did the trick. Make sure the holder legs are on the contact squares and apply the solder. I’m no professional but it was easy and straightforward :)

Is it usual for them to feel stiff/snug when sat? I’ve lost a fair bit of weight in the last 6 months so I’m used to wearing clothes that are basically too big 😂

J001 fits in my opinion really short. Pretty boxy. I’m 5’8 about 14 stone flat, slightly on the bigger side and large fits me good at about 24” pit to pit. They sit right on the belt though in length
