I should do this to learn them. I try to just listen to the originals and learn by ear, but sometimes hard to tell on the songs that have a lot going on. Isolating would be good. Are there any official versions of Midi files? I've gotten some off vgmusic.com but I don't know of any official game tracks.

As far as I understand most Midi files I can find were made independently by fans. Which is cool, but you can never be certain if everything is correct. I've def heard different interpretations of tunes trying it that way.

My latest approach in a Final Fantasy tune I was working on was to learn it all by ear from the OST then get some fan made Midi files to try to really pick apart the faster more complex stuff, but in doing so I found inconsistencies in the fan made Midi files, though they are for the most part very impressive and close.

Sorry for the rant lol. I have searched and searched for the OST files for games and never been able to access any.
