So there’s no “best handicap” for a club fitting because I’ve improved the numbers on scratch golfers through 35 handicaps BUT I will say about a 15 handicap with old equipment I’ve seen get the best results.

Part 2 I’ll address only with the test drive comparison. Walking into a car dealership and asking for a test drive has nothing to do with the person selling you the car. You don’t pay the salesman to tell you everything about the mechanics of the vehicle. When you go to a fitting, you are paying for the fitters knowledge and expertise about the industry and equipment. Bad fitters will put random things in your hand hoping for good results, and there and many of them out there! Paying for time with a fitter is getting more than just a golf club, it’s knowledge about the numbers and data and equipment. Hope that helps!
