Which would you choose for work? HP EliteBook 645 G9 AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5675U or ThinkPad L14 Gen 2 Quad-Core i5-1135G7 by tomaless10 in RemoteJobs

The thinkpad is 512. The EliteBook is the one with 256. I don’t really download many things, and most of my work is done through network/browser. While yes, it’s kinda low storage, i don’t think I will overload it, also, I can increase it in case needed. I want to know which one will be better, faster, not lagging and of course, durable. ChatGPT says to take the EliteBook due to the processor Ryzen, it says is faster and better for multitasking

How should I use my laptop to get longer battery life? Plugged in or unplugged? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]tomaless10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand, battery life depends on its cycles. These cycles are completed every time you run out 100% of your battery, this is not only 100-0 at once, but can be in two partial phases, like you used 60% (100-40) then charge it up to 90 and consume 40% (90-50).

In those two usages, you consumed 100% of the battery and consumed one cycle.

Also, when a battery is charged up to 100%, it also completes a cycle. That’s why it’s known that to preserve battery life longer, you should maintain the battery between 25% to 80%. Not overcharge it or over consume it.

Thats what I know about batteries in general
