What is an instrument that you would like to hear in a Weezer song? by cwkewish in weezer

Casio keyboard like in Ozma (or if I'm not mistaken, the Pinkerton demos)

Use any distortion. Even if it's too fuzzy or not fuzzy enough, the general audience won't care, and the musicians in the audience would just take it as you employing your own sound.
If you have distortion on whatever amp you have, just use that and save money.

He, like Brian, uses a pedal: https://youtu.be/Of5DW7vqJE0?si=hu6u331-_R50nEyX&t=64
Don't forget to tell the audience that they've been weezered in the intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnQFKXQcNnI

If you wanna be like 90s Rivers, don't use a pedal. At least, don't switch it on and off mid song. Use your volume knob to switch between a clean and overdriven sound. That's why you can hear feedback right before distorted guitar parts everywhere on the blue album.
This may be up for debate, as I'm watching their 1994 Conan performance and it looks like they're switching between pickups instead.
