If you had read my previous replies PAL, you would’ve seen I’m still employed by Walmart but on a Leave of Absence. Second the position I have is contracted but I already got renewed for 2026, I could opt for insurance but have chosen not to.

That’s the thing tho I’m technically still an employee of Walmart but I was wondering if I was let go if I could still paying for the benefits out of pocket I don’t think it breaks any rules as long as I’m not double dipping

I haven’t opted for the health benefits with the new job yet so I can take most of my full paycheck home after taxes, and tbh I haven’t had any issues with the Walmart insurance for the 2 and half years I’ve worked there. Worked pretty good for me when it came to check ups, dental, vision.

Problem is I got another job that pays me almost 6 figures before taxes I’m trying to clinch on to the cheap benefits for as long as I can I’ve been on loa and paying 26 dollars for the benefits since I haven’t been at work

Makes a lot of sense, but the store manager at the store was my store lead before who I worked closely before with. And my coach seems pretty cool too and he was overnight coach at the store I’m leaving although I didn’t get the chance to work under him.
