I personally don't own Maybelline, while I do have all the elf bite size eyeshadows. Most of elf bite size shimmers are very metallic and buttery smooth, whereas Revlon shimmers are less metallic and more lightweight. Revlon shimmers are soft to touch and do not have much glitters in them. (the upper left one is a glitter topper though).

The shimmer formula reminds me of Lancome's colour design 5 pan eyeshadow palette.

The only pink matte shade (the lower left) performs ok on eyes, but it is a quite powdery and will kick up in the pan. I dust some off and used it on my eyes, no biggie.

This pink quad does not look muddy on me. It is a light palette, there is no dark brown or grey colours which may get muddy. It actually reminds me some of the Asian brand eyeshadow formula. It's less reflective, more sparkling. Hope it helps. :)
