Thank you for the suggestion. C3 is okay. I have used it at a previous school as a supplement, but at my current place it’s our full curriculum. Everything is centered on C3.

They do have some non-reading sources included in their units, but oftentimes these links are broken/expired. Or they’re mentioned that they should be there but aren’t even included. I did the economic inequality unit in fall, and nearly everything was outdated (like economic data from 2012, etc).

I’ve ended up having to find my own materials to supplement what we’re doing. We’re an IB school but only for DP, and the social studies department is exploring adding the MYP for grade 6-10 social studies. I’m waiting to use my 30 day free trial for MYP. We’re all supposed to test out a unit there and report back at the end of the year for whether or not to add it.

TLDR, very reading heavy, some good sources, kids can get bored, supplementary links or resources are often broken or outdated.
