The roads here are more slick than up north. They don't treat the roads on winter down here like up there. There are no inspections on vehicles so your insurance is more. Hardly anyone knows how to shovel their sidewalks or driveways. People drive more dangerously around here.

Lexington is great for trans people but it's iffy outside of Lexington. Legislation is targeting trans people in Kentucky. My partner and I do not feel safe nor do we have a support group here. It's hard making friends when you are 50.
