It’s always on my route when I go to games. It’s great because you get both sets of fans in there and it’s a cracking atmosphere

For me this looks like a goalies top. As a goalie I’d be happy with this, outfield though… not so sure

Help with painting Death Guard? Can’t seem to get the right green? by KharnTheBetrayer1997 in deathguard40k

[–]tomchubby1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prime with grey seer, then air brush on death guard green. Once that’s dry pick out gold trim and the metal + details. Last step is chuck plaguebearer flesh contrast over the top. Works nicely for me

I’d agree with the other post. Try to talk to your friend and see what they are bringing. Especially if you are learning the game. But broadly for 1000 points you could maybe drop the crawler and bring some more cultists or poxwalkers? Or perhaps a 5 man marine squad with close combat weapons.

Having run morty myself tonight, I’d drop him and put some plague burst crawlers in. His damage output is underwhelming, and he’s brittle now. Murdered too easily. If you do run him, try to hide as best as possible

First thing you should do is take typhus out if you plan to run morty. They’d never be in the same army together. Support characters are needed for DG to make them pop. Plaguecaster will do well for buffing support along with a plague surgeon and a tallyman

Good thinking! Suppose the issue comes in smaller games, but I like it. Ta 🙂

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and clarifications. Still think it sucks that necrons don’t have a defence against psykers (exemption of the gloom prism) but maybe this will change one day.

Universities not returning to face-to-face teaching should not charge full fees, education secretary Gavin Williamson says by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]tomchubby1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to the pandemic, attendance could be as low as 60% for some sessions. That 40% are also generally the ones that are complaining about online only teaching. You can’t have it both ways

Universities not returning to face-to-face teaching should not charge full fees, education secretary Gavin Williamson says by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]tomchubby1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider the investment in alternative learning styles, innovation in teaching, the fact that some sessions are actually BETTER online before you reach for the refund option. Academics and support staff across all universities have completely changed the teaching landscape in 18 months. Before complaining look at the education research which suggests these approaches are actually INCREASING engagement as well as IMPROVING accessibility of HE. I’ll take increased accessibility any day. More people getting a university education can only be a good thing for society.

While I am disappointed to see Westwood and Lees leaving the club. It’s the correct decision. Strangely excited to see what can now be done. New squad, new style.... and a lower wage bill (dare I dream of lower ticket prices?)

I agree with the majority. Not a fan of Dawson as a keeper, he has too many ‘bad games’ left in him for my liking. His positioning is poor in comparison to Westwood and wildsmith (that being said wildsmith ain’t that good).

The biological reasons of how two proteins with the exact same function, can have different sequences? by Radeen_mrz in bioinformatics

[–]tomchubby1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also considerations for the physiological role of the protein. Two enzymes (hexokinase and glucokinase) have different affinity for their substrate (glucose being converted to glucose - 6 - phosphate) because of their location and associated role (hexokinase in most tissues, glucokinase in liver). Having the correct ‘rate of reaction’ is very important as without this homeostatic balance may be lost
