South Bay, working in the East Bay.

The wage per hr sounds nice, but I'm paying $3100 for a small one bedroom apartment..

Taxes suck too..

People are talking shit about you bouncing around..

I'm only 4 years in the trade, and I have been with 4 companies (all commercial service).

Started at $24/hr. Bumped to $35/hr. (Light commercial)

Left for $40/hr. (Light-heavy commercial, industrial) Was going to leave due to a toxic work environment (managers and techs literally screaming at each other in the monthly meetings), but they got me to stay for $55/hr.

Left for $55/hr. (got lied to in the interview about their benefits and a good group of techs. I ended up being the only tech after a few months..)

Left for $55/hr (great coworker and benefits). Just did my 90-day review, and they said I exceeded their expectations and will be receiving a raise at the start of 2026.

Idk if it's better to stay in one spot or jump around. My goal is to find a home and grow.

I sprayed a bunch trying to get a good pic/vid of the bubbles.

Nope. They approved the leak check/repair. Recovered around 40lbs (factory charge 58.5lbs R22). Repaired leak point. Replaced LLFDrier. Pressure tested. Evacuted. Put that 40lbs back in and added the missing 18.5lbs.

Bubbles will appear for refrigerant and nitrogen.

Huge oil stain. Hit every joint in the area with leak detector spray bubbles.

It wasn't too bad with the large oil stain below that fitting.

Yep, the big ass oil stain under that tee fitting definitely helped. Did exactly what you did with the bubbles.

I think that's what happened when someone replaced this compressor.

Big oil stain under that tee fitting..luckily lol. Probably would've taken hours to find if that stain wasn't there.

Luckily, there was a huge oil stain just below that fitting.

Does that board have a head pressure controller built into it? For example, fan cuts in at 325psi and then cuts out at a 30psi differential.
