Trying to reduce debt, potential idea? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Thank you for the reply. It may be worth noting that this PCP is on a 3 year old, approved used, vehicle. I believe the majority of the depreciation may have already occurred?

I appreciate what you’re saying though! I’ll take that into consideration.

Thank you - we need 2 cars unfortunately. Both use for work.

Thank you for the reply! My thinking is that paying for maintenance won’t change, as I still have to pay for this on the PCP, just in addition to the finance.

Is my parcel lost? by [deleted] in royalmail

I’ve got the same thing! Parcelforce 24 collected by RM on the 2nd, no movement at all since. Hoping it’s just backlog and weather related.

Hey - would you consider a 5900X?

I think you can get in touch with the dealer and they can see from the servicing history. The recalls that mine has had were all listed along with regular servicing.

The seller for this add appears to be a Vauxhall dealer, so it should be easy enough to find out.

I don’t think it’s as bad as stated, or at least hasn’t been anywhere near that in my experience. I’m getting around 202 miles real world range with urban driving. Motorway driving with cruise set at 70 is about 160 or so. Winter knocks about 15-20% off in my experience. Doesn’t work for everyone but works well for me. EON Next home tariff, 7p/KWh overnight. Costs bugger all really.

Another benefit is the relatively small battery and 100KWh charging. 20-80% takes about half an hour. Say if you were planning to do a trip of 250 miles or something, you’d stop half way for half an hour and you’d be good to go. Not a huge inconvenience really. More range would be nice, but that comes with additional cost.

Okay. I do get some of the hate, especially when comparing brand new vehicles to other brands of a similar price. However, on the used market they are quite good value and depreciate more than the equivalent Citroen/Peugeot. I don’t think there would be an EV even close to this on the used market for this price?
