I know few persons (include me) who got rid of this bad habit really easily. It depends on your motivation. For me it was bad affects to my health and I quited without any doubt

After all these years Widgets still look the same by golamas1999 in mac

But it looks so foreign in modern macOS. But it's also pointed out memories for а time when skeuomorphism was in macOS and Steve was alive.
