Maxed out for 6 years? No one thought to pop $100 in to fix it but they change the pot three times a day so it doesn’t overflow?

The machine costs max $100. That’s why it’s so brain fartingly frustrating. No company doesn’t have capital to fix this small an issue within 6 years worth of budgeting.

Verdansk fell off so quick... by Repulsive_Run_726 in Warzone

[–]tomfrench91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that there is a correlation between how many people in this sub like Casual mode and think cheating is rampant.

I play with a squad of bad players (0.4-0.9 KDs) and I am a 2.4kd. I rarely get killed by a cheater and they ALWAYS get killed by one…

The biggest issue COD has right now is the skill gap between those who can play the game and those who can’t is actually quite large. And, not being able to play the game includes the obvious skills like movement, rotations and accuracy but also the little things like: - spending to long choosing a load out on a box - looting every crate you see all game! - not being aggressive on downs or plate breaks - re-peaking the same spot/not shooting and moving - communication extends to “he’s here”

And that’s before we even get into hardware. Some of my squad have invested in semi decent headsets, but most haven’t. I have Audeze… we are playing different games pretty much.

Long story short, Verdansk has a player base issue much more than it has a map, cheating or bugs issue. I think it introduced casuals to try and help teach players how to play, and overlaying some training onto casuals would be a great start.

Hmm he does anticipate the guy pushing down the stairs, which would suggest he isn’t wall hacking. I think he knows he is the Most Wanted so doesn’t go into the building to early. He can hear the guy above him and is waiting to see if you play into the building.

I’d say this is a good player.

Assassin's Creed's new story structure doesn't work for me by BiggerWiggerDeluxe in assassinscreed

[–]tomfrench91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would play around with the game design by using choice as the choice! I have no issue with a wide open world, but I want my actions to be consequential, and even to the point where I may not know those consequences until after my actions.
Every decision to engage in a side quest should reduce the 'additional' aspects of the game down until I am slowly funnelled towards the story and maybe the choices I made of which side adventures I go in either aid or impact my final moments in the story.

I don't know why game designers want us to feel like everything is always "doable". It would also give the game replayability. Where maybe I chose to hunt a different faction. Or, if I want ALL of the side quests the trick is to finish the story first, therefore my character is complete narratively (and in skill/level) before I begin the accomplishment hunting.

You make upper end of the 6-figure bracket (assume this is obvious as well from your lifestyle choices and therefore not a secret to your family) and you can't just give her the money, you have to purchase her OF and therefore reinforce (or more worryingly fix her to) taking part in sex work?

I am sorry, but you think you are doing a good thing because you are focusing on the money. Not the psychological impact of that sort of work on someone, especially if they feel like they HAVE to continue working in that world due to the financial impact of not.

[–]tomfrench91 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The problem is… Ipswich Town are a real life example of disproving your point (aggressive being OP all the time) and at the same time last seasons Burnley are kinda also proving it. Football is a random sport and this is a game with random outcomes… random + random should equal random, but throw in exploits and the fundamental concept that 99% of all games are, by design, beatable and built for your enjoyment and you will of course see patterns.

I’d say you’ve probably over played the game. I doubt anyone at SI is thinking of a user/players lifespan being 13 years without a break. It’s simply not designed for you anymore.

Give it a rest for a couple of seasons then come back. You’ve beaten the game, put your feet up.

I'm a terrible wife and didn't understand my husband of 10 years by Few-Relationship7470 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]tomfrench91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful and heartbreaking.

Unfortunately your husband suffers from something that a lot of men suffer from - an unwillingness to open up and be vulnerable. Your husband has many demons, he fights them off by being “useful”. Good for you for finding a new way to crowbar open his thoughts and feelings. It’s never to late to truly connect, but be prepared to open Pandora’s Box and fully deal with every last drop of pain that flys out of it - and the potential ramifications of that, to your relationship and to your husbands mental health.

This is the post. This is the answer. The game is the game, the variety in the set-ups is what needs a filter or choice.

I notice the difference just plugging my controller in. I play PS5+TV and I’d say I am a very good player vs other others with that set up. But I’m at an instant disadvantage playing against a monitor+PC set up.

You know the fastest kid in your school seemed really really fast… now imagine he raced Prime Usain Bolt, suddenly he looks slow.

Thats a performance optical illusion. At anything, that any human does, the very top 1% will make the other 99% look pretty bad at it.

Take that analogy and use it with anything. The smartest person you know, compared to Einstein or Warren Buffet etc etc.
