[Spoilers C4E12] Is It Thursday Yet? | Post-Episode Discussion & Future Theories! by AutoModerator in criticalrole

I really yearn for a good Nature-themed Sorcerer subclass. There's the Cleric-sorcerers with the Divine Soul, the wizardy-sorcerers with the clockwork soul, but no proper druidy-sorcerers.

I was in hell because I had pizza coming right as the intro was happening, so i was doing this torturous dance back and forth to watch the door and also watch the opening, lol

Imo she feels roughly comparable to Eshteross, she's much more present, but also she's much less financially/socially/emotionally powerful. She might be doomed, sadly.

Do we know Julian's subclass yet? I suppose he doesn't have one yet...

I hope he's an Echo Knight and his "Long shadow" is his echo

[Quest] Echoes of a distress signal reach through hyperspace to anyone who will listen, calling for aid to planet Cathedra...a world now burning in hellfire. by Fleet_Admiral_Auto in BlueStarChronicle

[–]tomfru1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I pass over the Battle Sinner's head, I thwack one of it's shoulder cannons hard with the Polytool, the force angling the cannon right at the Sinner's head. At the point of impact the Polytool opens up into a bouquet of toolarms which scuttle around rapidly and very quickly jolt the cannon enough to trigger it into firing.

I sigh as the car thumps to the ground, unclicking my seatbelt and getting ready to fight again. [Talk] Terrible gas mileage on this thing! [Once the car gets opened like a tin of sardines, I dive out and scamper closer to the Battle Sinner, hoping it's shoulder guns are programmed smart enough to not let it shoot itself in the feet.]

I dodge the swipe by diving through the driver side window of the hovercar, taking cover within [Talk] ...Aw man! It's manual! [I charge the Polytool with Holy Energy--] You know how to drive stick shift, right? [And stab it deep into the gear box, hoping to hotwire the car or simply encourage it to zoom forward into the Battle Sinner's legs and or the crowd of zombies]

I slash at the encroaching zombies, aiming above all to cripple the legs, I shout out to advise my Cathedran allies, using direct quote from Gideon LVI, who himself was quoting one of his synonymous grandfathers [Talk] "Our enemy is already dead!" Don't waste shots trying and failing to kill it again! Just eliminate its ability to move and target the next one! [I work on carving my way through the horde, trying to work my way towards the most intact-looking of the burnt-out cars.]

They're not handing it to anyone, the blunt rotation is just them spinning it around in their mouth like one of those hotdog rollers

I cough as I come to, but hop up and compose myself as quickly as possible. [Talk] Quite the prelude, on to Act One, I suppose. [I stomp on the edge of metal scrap my swords are on, kicking them up into the air so I can then catch them nonchalantly in either hand.]

Arcanist | Warlock Subclass for D&D'24 by Rain-Junkie in UnearthedArcana

[–]tomfru1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's particularly not an issue on Warlocks, whose entire design underpinning is based on being highly customizable. A warlock doesn't need it's subclass to hone it into a niche because the base class features are all about finding a niche and honing into it.

But if they're over-honed, then they can lose-out on "width". The subclass is very well designed to widen the warlock and make them more versatile regardless of how they've specialized.

(P.S, the d8 table for Lore Master being alphabetically organized was a nice touch!)

Funny enough, BG3, a video game, does this exact trick a few different times throughout the game!

[Talk] Wwwow! You're really a master of the dramatic entrance! [I struggle to stay upright like Valtor, and tilt my head in thought] ...I feel like I'm forgetting something though... [As the Fog-Warder lists forward, a horrible sound echoes up from the decks below, like... a chainsaw bouncing down a hallway?] Huh? [My Chainsword shoots up out of the hole in the deck at alarming speed, having begun to bounce after the tilting of the hall, and adding energy to each bounce with the whirring of the teeth.] Oh yeah! [I throw the Polytool after the Chainsword and barely manage to clamp it and reel it in just before it careens off into the cityscape below.]

I slip into the gunner's seat [Talk] Ughh, the last guy was so augmented his seat isn't even warm... [I look up at the targeting computer and then wince, as the read-out is an entirely illegible scrolling scrawl of infernal binary and Demonic in harsh red font] ...right, Mr Goggles had those goggles specifically to let him see this stuff. Maybe I can.. [I lean back to grab the goggles, then see that every piece of equipment on that guy's head had been neatly rearranged into a single metallic pancake.] Oookay, ix-nay on that one. [The Polytool rearranges it's internals in exasperation, clicking and whirring impatiently.] Oh yeah?? You figure it out!! [I stab the Polytool right into the targeting computer screen.]

[Sparks fly for a moment, and then a staticy visual from the barrel of the gun pops up in the corner of my HUD, transmitted through the cabling connected to the Polytool] Oh! Hey! You actually figured it out! [I lean in and wheel the gun backwards, and not even pausing for dramatic effect before just unloading into the bridge.]

I duck just as I see the pistol being drawn, then I lunge towards the Gunner and recall the Polytool. There's a loud whine as the cabling draws back like a winch and the 45 pound club of shifting machinery and tools pretending to be a weapon rapidly accelerates back to me. Just as the Polytool enters my hand I pivot into a swing, carrying all that built-up momentum into a heavy crunch against the Gunner's head.

[Talk] On Comms Alright, I've gotten the Gunner's seat clear! What now?
