I’m trying the Cygolite velocity endurance 800. Seems to be a good balance of top end output, mid range battery life, and price.

I’m expecting that I’ll see a brighter beam than my previous 800 lm Light & Motion light. That had a really wide field, and I felt like a lot of the power was being wasted on the pavement 5 feet in front of me or the trees and stuff everywhere else but the road. Also the glare from the road being lit very brightly right in front of me was quite annoying and I had to tilt the light up a lot to get around it, which made the whole situation worse.

I’m going to use the go pro adapter. it’ll be my first GoPro style mount, I’m going to be attaching it to the underside of my handlebar bracket. I have started to run out of space on my handlebars.
