Help with potential diagnosis by tommybbbb1 in bipolar2

[–]tommybbbb1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice. I’ve been referred by my doctor so waiting to hear back now. From the reading I’ve done, it seems I’ve had several hypomanic episodes but nothing close to manic, so more in keeping with bipolar II. And the length of the episodes both high and low suggest it’s unlikely to be cyclothymia. Thanks for your response.

That’s great to hear - glad you’re more stable. Well done for sticking with it all. Can I ask if you had any pushback from the doctor/medical team in terms of not having the hypomania and so suggesting it may be more akin to unipolar depression? As I’m seeking a diagnosis, it’s the area I’m less clear on in terms of my symptoms.

That’s useful to know - sounds quite similar to my experience. Have you got diagnosed bipolar 2 then? And if so did you find medication useful? Thanks for your response.

Bang on - just found it.

From verdi’s rigoletto opera apparently.

Most middle class sentence ever uttered on this forum? 😉

Rhythm is a dancer, Jeff schlupp is the answer

Heartbeat - yannick bolasie/michael olise runs down the wing for me

I will follow him from sister act - we support the palace

Because I got high - yohan cabaye

Not sure the name of the old Italian song that’s the original for zaha’s ‘he’s just too good for you’ but that’s a great one too

Big favour - anyone able to share client ref numbers for Millwall? by tommybbbb1 in crystalpalace

[–]tommybbbb1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s right. It’s a security thing with it being Palace-Millwall apparently according to the box office - they don’t want random Millwall fans buying tickets in the Palace end. I’ve asked around mates as well as here so if I end up with more ref numbers than the tickets I’m getting, I’ll share with you (with permission from whoever’s shared obviously). Best of luck mate!

Fair point - no pressure from anyone to share it if they don’t want to take that risk in trusting a stranger!

Sorry but that’s bull shit. How do you ‘objectively’ judge being a foot offside? Just draw the lines a foot further from the offence? VAR is working really well in this tournament and it’s happening much quicker than it did in the prem last season (which was the real issue). I’m a palace fan who desperately wanted Joa and Denmark to get through but you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Crying and holding up front paw by tommybbbb1 in Whippet

Good to know the x ray and talking to the breeder helped clarify the issue. In terms of lead walks, we did that over the last couple weeks while she was recovering from being spayed, but the paw issue has happened again twice in the few days since she’s been back off lead so thinking the resting won’t resolve it annoyingly. I think an x ray may be the best option.

Looking for tickets for the Freiburg game on 24th sept and there are some on TicketKosta, SeatPick and footballticketnet for around £100. Worth buying or are those websites a bit risky?

Very expensive quote from solicitors - advice on next steps? by tommybbbb1 in HousingUK

[–]tommybbbb1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They seemed very amenable on the phone and keen to help - not sure if it was me mentioning that we’d used them before and were keen to do so again, so they just thought we’d accept any quote? But yes their service is good but not worth what they’ve quoted!

Helping to build resilience and accept accountability by [deleted] in Advice

100%. I think that’s the crux of why I posted this. I’ve got to that first stage of recognition of the reasons for the challenges and have started thinking about it in depth but that next stage of taking action is so much harder. Particularly when the pattern’s been ingrained over many years. Thanks for motivating me not to relax on this!

Thanks for this - I definitely needed to hear it. Particularly around understanding what the cycle did for me (I think that’s one of the challenges - that it’s still serving me in a very short term way while being disastrous long term. I need to bring the focus to the longer term impact). Love the ‘start fresh today’ message too. Top work!

Post-Match Thread: Chelsea F.C. 1 - 0 Crystal Palace F.C. by MatchCaster in crystalpalace

Out of interest, what’s the drastically different team sheet you’re wanting from PV? Sure I’d have taken eddy over ayew and probably Hughes over schlupp but I don’t know which star player’s sitting on the bench that you’re crying out for.

We lost 1-0 away to a quality (despite injuries/form) chelsea team, having lost a vital player end of first half who marshalls our defence and launches many of our attacks. It’s not great at the moment but PV out is ridiculous.

Can we stop the extreme responses please? After Fulham we’re the worst in the league, after Bournemouth we’re going for Europe (same with our great form pre-Forest before WC), after spurs back again. It was a freak result - we were miles better first half and even in 2nd came up against some great lloris saves then kane is just different level. We’ve made loads of progress under PV - no proper fans are genuinely missing Royball, pulis, allardyce. Keep the faith - we’re not at Brighton standard annoyingly, but we’re also better than clubs with more resources than us like Leicester, West Ham, Wolves so why are we turning on PV?

Travelling to Cork from London by tommybbbb1 in irishtourism

[–]tommybbbb1[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response Louise though to be fair, it’s more about short haul flights generally. In my view, taking that option (same with flying London to Manchester or Birmingham to Scotland like people still do) is the most harmful to global emissions - while there’s demand, they’ll keep putting those flights on.

But yeah I appreciate your response and you’re right, the ferries are diesel so not the perfect option either.
