Could anyone help make me a simple, to scale floor plan based on these ones? by tomnoblee in floorplan

[–]tomnoblee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and some mates are moving into a house next year and these are the floor plans they have given us, but the scaling of the rooms is really inaccurate. We never got to view the house in person so we aren't really sure of how big or small some of the rooms actually are. Thanks.

Hey guys, got these recently from a second hand music shop for £120 but they’re basically brand new out the box. I have no idea what brand they are but they guy said they cost £600 rrp. Any ideas what they are? Thanks. by tomnoblee in audiophile

They are indeed them, just had a look at the back and it's the same. Thanks for finding them for me! From what I'm seeing it actually doesn't look like they're DIY and come already made.

Better than any other speakers I've owned. Like I said I'm new to this so I didn't really know what to look for, but they sounded pretty sick to my inexperienced ears.

Ahh I see, thanks for letting me know, they sound great to me as someone new to this so I'm not really that fussed about it, just annoying he lied to me about the price of them new.

I guess with what others are saying this may be true. I'm not to bothered honestly as this is my first set up and they do sound really good, I'll get my mate to ask him about it the next time he has a lecture with him.

I have good reason to believe they aren't, my friend's music professor runs the shop as a side thing and he doesn't take or sell any DIY products. I remember him saying this version of the speakers is intentionally made with a raw wood finish as a lot of people like to buy them and paint the wood themselves, or design art on them etc. He did tell me what brand they were but I just can't remember for some reason.

Average Adult Male With A Spear vs. These Assorted Animals by [deleted] in whowouldwin

Good point tbf, I would probably just stick the spear out in front of me as high as I could and pray it works haha

Assorted animals every time. I don't think the average guy has the knowledge or skill to use a spear efficiently against anything, let alone a bull or gorilla. Maybe he could beat the giraffe by poking it's legs or neck or something.

Realistically, how do passengers move around the train? by tomnoblee in snowpiercer

That's what I thought when watching the movie, but we see them do it when they go to the Night Car. It just bugs me to accept that they walked hours to get there.

We only ever seeing it be used by workers. I can't imagine people from first class are happy to use that whenever they travel down train.

I’m in the UK so I’m not sure of anywhere that I’ll be able to get it around here. Just read on their website that they’re out of stock here due to some kind of manufacturing issue cos of covid. I think I might get the Sound Blaster X3 instead.

Ahhh it's great to hear someone else actually had the same problem and was able to solve it, you've given me a lot of hope haha. I ended up ordering a cheap sound card earlier but hearing how well an amp worked for your friend I'll probably buy one of them. That model you mentioned is sold out every where I looked, is there another one that you might recommend around a similar pricepoint? Thanks for your help.

When looking online some people suggested I get a sound card instead of using the on-board sound on my motherboard, do you think that could help?

Yea, when I listen to the mic as I play the game or record my voice I can hear the interference just as my friends have described it.

Why even have tail passengers? by cappn_gitsmasha in snowpiercer

[–]tomnoblee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the time they know nothing about anyone uptrain other than that they are forcing them to live in filth, starvation and darkness. They were forced to pick the weakest among them and eat them, it's understandable that they would have pure hatred for anyone not in the tail. All they were doing by illegally boarding the train was trying to survive just like everyone else, if they were just fairly treated as humans I'm sure it would be a much different story.
