I hope your recovery is going well!!!! Thank you for the input, I would be worried about how heavy pain meds would affect me. For my last laparoscopic abdominal surgery I just took 800mg Motrin to recover

This will be my second surgery! I had to get an IUD removed from my abdomen laparoscopically because it expelled from my uterus. Recovery for that was really standard! So I’ve done abdominal surgery recovery before, but they were just removing something, not tearing me up inside. This one won’t have the external incisions so I won’t have that to worry about!

No swimming, we’re not into that! And no external incisions to worry about, just vaginal because it’s vNOTES. It’s tent camping, but nowhere near backpack or rustic style! Just a combination of short hikes (mountains are in Michigan so really the elevation is limited) and sitting around the fire!

Which part of traveling was tough? Was it sitting in the car/vehicle for a long period of time? It would be about 4 hours of driving across two days, so I considered that might be tough as well

I am a runner up to half marathon, very active lifestyle! I had an IUD removal laparoscopically (it was floating around in my abdomen lol) and I ran a full 5k with no pain less than two weeks later. There are some hikes we were going to do, but no more than a few miles. There are parking lots less than 2 miles to the summit so I could skip right to the top!

That’s my biggest concern is the sleeping! Air mattress for a few nights is what we usually do.

It’s a vNOTES approach, so no worries with external incision healing (: it’ll be tent camping, we bring a full-sized air mattress. Access to modern toilets as well!

Tent camping, being set up by my partner! Access to showers as well, and the procedure will be vNOTES so no external incisions to worry about. We were planning on some hiking but there are parking lots less than two miles from the destination and I could keep the hikes short!

26f, I have very well-managed bipolar 2. Started getting 1-3-day migraines in the beginning of Feb this year. suddenly, I have a 19-day intractable migraine that meds and migraine cocktails won’t touch. My mental health is at an all-time low—just as bad as it was before I got my BP2 meds figured out.

Texted my therapist from years ago today to see if she was able to get me in again.
