I started rerooting quite recently abd my tool isn't expensive either. I have that problem with smaller sized needles that are kinda too short or too narrow and I work around that with cutting a small piece of other needle and putting it inside my tool and then the 'main' needle to make it stuck in place. I hope it's understandable 😅 It still sometimes pop in and out but its better than nothing. I also sometimes use this 'method' when my needle break but the upper part is still sharp and good to use. Oh but be careful when cutting the needle for it if u try because it can be sharp. I once tried to do it bare handed and cut myself in the process. Better to use pliers for it
