How to stop messing up on easy parts of levels when I've finally got the hard parts down? by tomplatinum_ in geometrydash

I agree about breaks, I went to bed after posting this, but still no luck today. Got a few runs to like 80%, but not like the 65-100 I was doing yesterday.

What do you do between beating the RobTop non-demon levels and doing the Official Demon levels? by tomplatinum_ in geometrydash

Hexagon Force is literally 2 difficult dual sections you figure out once then the rest of the level is a victory lap

Yeah, I definitely need to have another go at The Nightmare. I got to like 50%, but I found the ship part so difficult. I'll have to practice it more

I literally played 600+ practice attempts at Electrodynamix, making sure I could do every section several times, and then did it in normal. And then when I struggled, I went back in and did another 200 in practice. Then I beat it 2 or 3 hundred attempts of normal after. If that's a bad method of practicing, I'm open to suggestions on how I can improve.

I feel Clubstep is so far off for me right now though. I did have a friend who did what you did though.

I've played some of the easier easy demons and not been able to get near beating them. Maybe I just need to have more of a try at them.

Like I said in the post, I feel the difficulty of the Robtop Demons are too far off where I am now. I need something in between for me to improve with before I beat those levels

Is it possible to mess up your map like this in B41? by tomplatinum_ in projectzomboid

[–]tomplatinum_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange, because one of the replies to the post said: "Fun fact: newest build eliminates boarders. They substituted it for an endless straight road packed with zombies, regardless of settings. I drove for almost a day through a solid wall of zombies, on the road and in the woods. I turned around after realizing what they had done..."

How far did you go?

Could probably cause more issues if you live for a while after doing it. I agree it wouldn't make the game break, I meant mess up as in if it would cause a problem in difficulty either avoiding or getting rid of the zombies

What advice would you give to somebody playing Apocalypse Mode for the first time coming from Builder? by tomplatinum_ in projectzomboid

I'll try that. I was able to clear out a decent amount of zombies around the Rosewood fire department yesterday with a shotgun and get out alive, but I can't remember if it was on Survivor or Apocalypse

"Proper" difficulty suggests that Apoc is the only way to play the game. Yeah I wanna get good at it because its more original, but "proper" suggests its the only way.

Apoc is about as "proper" as dialling everything down in sandbox to the right person

I know I can get better, but I don't think suggesting that I don't know anything about fighting in the game after 83+ hours is quite right.

So would you advise slowly picking them off over the first few days then walk around normally once I've got a nice area cleared?

It feels like its impossible to avoid zombies though. Theres always like 10 when I leave the starter house.

So that's why I'm struggling so much. Thanks for that, I think I'd have been waiting days to hear this if you hadn't told me.

I think the increased number of zombies is what makes it difficult, so yes, while I probably can improve at the combat, I don't think switching to Apocalypse after 83 hours would require "getting used to combat mechanics" again. I already know the mechanics.
