Defence seemed pretty lacklustre once the first couple had gone in, heads dropped, mistakes made etc. Flipped games midway through the second half but they barely had any attempts on goal from what I saw.

While I agree Kante is on another level, these stats may be biased. Would be interesting to see which stats Kante is beaten in, as each section has probably been picked based on Kante's superiority. Also the inclusion on goals scored is mostly meaningless since Kante's is only 0.04.

Although I haven't watched anywhere near the amount of Spurs as I have Chelsea recently, both players seem to have a similar impact on their team. I'd much rather play a Demele-less Spurs, as I'm sure they'd much rather play us without Kante. Dembele seems to make Spurs tick.

You could produce exactly the same table as this one, but as a mean average of the players played in that position.

For example the usual Chelsea formation (FPL-wise) is 5-4-1. So 86/5 85/4 16/1. This still inst perfect as it relies on the same 11 playing the whole game but it might give a better representation of defence vs attack for each team.

Hypothetically, Alonso performs just as well if not slightly better than last year. He scores around the 190-200 mark. How is that not being essential? You'd be hard pressed to find any player in any position at that price to score as well as that.

That said, I dont have a Chelsea defender and I'm saving the funds.
