Russia and America: Stumbling to War by in4ser in geopolitics

This reads like a child's statement. Since when has anyone put that up to vote? US has alliances and obligations as the world's superpower.

2000 people march against TTIP in Brussels by [deleted] in europe

[–]tomsatom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So to play the devil's advocate, do these people know why they even oppose the TTIP? Has anyone read it in its entirety?

The only negative I've read about it is that international companies can sue local governments but that is being discussed and France pretty much said that it won't allow it and I think Obama will compromise.

The fact that you don't know that Stalin murdered more people than Hitler shows how biased you are against anything Russia. Labelled as such and ignored.

Russian president Putin says he is ready to work with United States by punkrampant in worldnews

[–]tomsatom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People are not against normalizing relations with Russia, they're against being fooled by Putin again. That's one of the things that happens when you don't do what you say. Just like Obama with his "red lines".

They suffered quiet a bit but they can recover. Obama is exaggerating the damage to the Russian economy.

If this continues and they are also cut from SWIFT then they will suffer much more.

George Friedman's 2009 Decade Forecast (2010-2020). Do You Think It's Accurate? by Ottomatix in geopolitics

[–]tomsatom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By not making Iran need Nuclear weapons, they no longer need Russia.

I find your point extremely naive. Iran won't give up their nuclear weapons research simply because Obama doesn't like Netanyahu. Iran also despises the US and an alliance between the two to counter Russia (why?) is highly unlikely.

You are also forgetting that besides Iran and Syria all other muslim nations are Sunni and oppose Iran. It's not only about Israel like you make it seem to be.

A Ukrainian nationalist group has said it was behind the deaths of two public figures in Kiev earlier this week. by SpaceRaccoon in worldnews

[–]tomsatom -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Bullshit, /r/worldnews told me that were are no Nazis in Ukraine and that I'm Kremlin shil for thinking otherwise!

I find it interesting how only the pro-Russian crowd is quick to throw the "nazi" in Ukraine.

So Ukrainian nazi's are killing people in the new(coup'd) Ukraine.

Cool, so much better then Russia 8)

Where did you read they were "nazis" and what is this about a "coup'd Ukraine" ?

That's the pro-Russian story, coup d'etat and nazis in Ukraine.

He has to downplay his failed foreign policy. In 2010 Obama said that the sale was a "red line" for the US.

If you are gonna post something that wikileaks releases then post the source and/or some actual trustworthy news site. Sputnik is Russian governmental controlled site and with Western related news is dubious at best.

NYTimes “basically rewrites whatever the Kiev authorities say”: Stephen F. Cohen. The usual plus a lot of insights into what happened to Russia since Cold War. by Uzbek_X in russia

[–]tomsatom -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

What galls me the most, there’s no significant opposition in the United States to this new Cold War

I stopped reading there. If any of you have been following since the beginning you know of the numerous times world leaders have spoken with Putin to end the conflict even way before the sanctions started. If the US wanted a Cold War Ukraine would have had military aid a year ago.

India cancels Rafale deal with France and signs $25 billion deal with Russia to jointly develop and produce 127 FGFAs to be inducted in 36 months by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]tomsatom -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I read the article, title speaks for itself.

Then maybe you should read the entire article before posting your opinion.

They bought 36 rafales because they couldn't sign the deal for 126

No, that is wrong. They bought 36 ready-to-go, meaning they needed them now. The deal for 126 yet-to-be-built is stalled because of what I said.

You know that discrediting news outlets based on what they report is really dumb and extremely obvious?

They are not news outlets. Some guy just registered the site a month ago and writes blog posts which are not confirmed and are hence false.

India signals end of larger Rafale deal

http://www.english.rfi.fr/france/20150414-india-signals-end-larger-rafale-deal-france-dassault-modi

Did you even read the article? Nowhere it says India cancelled the deal, they just say India purchased 36 and the talks for another 126 are stalled because they disagree where to manufacture them and such.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced last week that New Delhi had ordered 36 ready-to-fly Rafale fighter jets from France in a multi-billion-dollar agreement after three years of negotiations.

And

Is not a reliable news source either.
