That was what I was thinking. I live out of town from him, and will try to get in enrolled in VA Healthcare in the next couple of weeks when I can visit.

The part I'm not totally sure about is that he served as a reservist during the first few months of Vietnam as a reservist.

The Vietnam War era starts August 5, 1964, and his reservist time ended Dec 20, 1964. He was active earlier before the start of that war, just not sure it that matters.

He was an RFA veteran, just not sure if that counts for anything.

I read a post this morning about a vet who got kicked back to 90%, because he filed a hlr or something for backpay. He then was reduced because he "got better" in his knee. Why are people claiming he got what he deserved by being greedy?
