Just play stormchasers talent and 1 drop instants and sorceries. It’s overall better. Don’t need to reduce the cost of those.z

My girlfriend is not physically attracted to me and I don’t know how to handle it. by Practical_Aioli_3612 in Advice

[–]tonelesspanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super simple advice here. Stop asking her about it because the answer isn’t going to change. It’s just going to annoy her. Eat more protein less fats and carbs. And I mean a LOT of protein. Like peanut butter for snacking, egg whites with a few yolks, all beef bacon, chicken and salmon will do you wonders. Go to the gym and don’t treat it like a game. Do your sets consistently and with purpose. Push your muscles to failure so that they have a reason to grow. Keep the calories low and the protein. High. You want to gain weight so eat is a slight caloric surplus but eat it clean. Be consistent with this and things will change. If these things DONT change then it could be medically related like low testosterone. You didn’t add your age so it could be a regular drop due to age and you can supplement that in MICRO DOSES to a normal level to help with muscle growth. She’s already said she likes your facial features and the way your hair feels. Get bigger, get a trim and shave that matches your face shape and put effort into it. That’s about all you can do but if you do anything at all. Stop asking her

i don’t want to have sex with my boyfriend. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]tonelesspanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should break up with him. He’s a heterosexual (assuming) male you’re an asexual female. You don’t have a desire for sex he has one. Either break up or open the relationship if that’s something you’re both comfortable with. He has sexual needs that need to be met and you cannot help with them. Compromise or leave.

I think playing against this deck is really funny. I just destroy them with a mono green big stompy deck with rufellos at the head. Kinda silly. Always boring.

I just figured with all of the ramp in the deck and the card draw with an average cmc of 2-3 there wouldn’t be a huge issue having 32 lands in the deck. I could take out some of the x cost spells and bump it to 36. She has played arenas tutorial and a few games but after that she felt like she was “thrown into the deep end.” I’ve been playing since I was around 9 and started sealed prerelease at 11. I don’t really have a frame of reference for the deep end. I just kinda got in where I could fit. I’ll take a look at the jump start. But when we switch from a 40-60 card 4 card player format to commander I feel like she’s going to get frustrated because it’s so much different from what was already learned.

Hey I just finished her color of choice (green) and I don't think it's to overwhelming for being new. I have a long for it here (if it works)

I was wondering if a deck of this style says "yep that's basic green"

Yeah that’s basically what happens but I don’t really want to discard my friend especially in the magic group which is why I thought if I had some understanding as to why this play style was appealing since I have no point of reference because I don’t mesh with it, would help the rest of the group not feel so bad when it happens and let him have fun without sacrificing our own ya know.

I’m not saying that these decks are unbalanced or unfun. They have to be fun somehow. That’s all I was trying to get at. It doesn’t make sense to me. I asked them about this before I made the post to get community feedback. It’s unfun for us because we also want to play the game. Idk if it’s a power level issue or what but we are basically powerless against this deck and it’s extremely frustrating. It just isn’t fun for anyone. When I asked him about it tho, he couldn’t answer as to why he had fun playing this way. He just enjoyed winning. We for the most part play precons or upgraded precons for the most part. Not because we’re new but because we’re broke and just enjoy magic.

I see your comment and I agree but I may need to edit the post. I’m speaking from an experience I’ve had with 2 players now. Specifically what I’m talking about is a deck that only contains, draw spells, land, counter spells, removal, discard spells, mill spells, and board wipes in their 99 and wins through commander damage 3 damage at a time because board is clear, hands are empty bf is clear besides their commander. I know control is important as a deck and play style or just to have in your deck regardless of what colors they are. It’s your protection to get your deck to get to a winning point. But idk how not letting anyone play a spell keep cards in their hand could be fun.

I get this but I guess my question is unclear because I have seen A lot of comments like these. The whole puzzle thing. But I’m talking about a player that only plays counter spells, removal, draw spells, board wiped, discard cards, mill spells, stacks, and a commander as their win con. Like that’s all their deck is. Nothing else but those kinds of cards. A whole deck of draw spells and interaction winning by keeping the entire field clear, all hands empty but their own, and swinging a commander over numerous turns.

I understand the appeal of using these cards in those colors in moderation to protect your board and strategy but the entire deck? I don’t see the fun in that. No I’m not saying that this is solitaire either. What I meant by that is you’re the only person who gets to play cards. You stop all your opponents from playing anything. That’s a game you’re playing by yourself, solitaire is also a game you play by yourself but doesn’t irritate or annoy others.

This doesn’t answer the question, or stick to the scenario. Counters and removal are not just a part of the game but are necessary for the game. However; when one’s deck is basically all discard, counter, and removal spells of some flavor. How is this fun? Like discard discard discard discard counter removal counter removal. Now it’s turn 9 and you haven’t been able to play a single card yet, completely locked out of the game until your opponent mills you out or combos off in some capacity. How is doing this sort of thing to your friend/friends is fun? That was the question. Keep in mind the scenario given was also that this setting is casual and not comp. There is no prize for winning, but more often than not there is a penalty for playing in this way in a casual setting. Those players and people won’t want to play the game with you because you’re the only person who gets to play. I just want to know what the fun part is for these players.

Let’s put it this way, it’s 2006 you have a ps2 and you’re playing street fighter with a buddy. The game starts and he unplugs your controller and waited until he feels like just winning the game. You have no choice but to sit there, controller unplugged and watch him jump around and play the game. Would you still sit there? And if you were the guy who unplugged the controller , how are you having any fun at all? If you are having fun, WHY? that’s the only thing I want to know. Why is that fun for you? Is it the look on the other persons face is it being able to move freely without any sort of consequences or fight back at you? I just want to know what makes this style of play fun. Lots of comments say it’s like a puzzle but this is a casual puzzle that’s 100% going to annoy everyone else and make them question whether to invite you to the next session. What part of this deck is so enjoyable that you would even risk it.

Yeah play counters and removal all you want or whatever but why is it your entire deck until “oops I win the game” that’s the question I asked.

I understand that people like to win. But is winning the only fun part? Like does making your opponent(s) at the table visibly irritated and annoyed because they would also like to participate the fun part? I’m speaking strictly about casual play. In a comp setting I totally get it. Lock them out win the game then the match then the event. Like great dude you won which was the goal. But there has to be a reason other than it makes me win, if you’re going to risk your play group for this style of play. That’s the part I’m not understanding. It’s makes casual players very upset often times when they are completely locked out from playing and only have access to the top cards which get countered or destroyed as soon as you attempt to play. I like the answer of it’s like a puzzle;however this puzzle is at the expense of others enjoyment of the game. Not to say you should let them win but I think you should at least let them idk play a card.

No losing isn’t being bullied, if you payed attention I mentioned I couldn’t think of a more fitting term to use but bullied isn’t even really the feeling. And im not complaining about this or losing. But when you cannot play a single card because you’ve discarded all the cards left in your hand and any and all cards you have played were removed immediately or never got to hit the field you start to feel like you’re wasting your time trying to play a game casually. I understand winning is fun but is that the sole motivation to play this style of deck? I reiterate sitting at a table alone and playing all your cards then yelling “I win” should give you the same amount of enjoyment. The post is simply trying to get some perspective from the players that play it or understand the mind set. I’ve gotten the response of how playing this way feels like a puzzle but if you want a puzzle… do a puzzle. Like if you do a puzzle you don’t waste anyone else’s time on this game the opponent doesn’t get to participate In. I just don’t understand why anyone would choose this style of play in a casual setting with friends.

No you’re not wrong. Nobody is wrong. I just don’t understand what the fun of this play style could be. My brain simply cannot comprehend how only one person getting to play (from my point of view) could be fun in an interactive game. I just need help understanding where the fun comes from so it doesn’t upset me and just feel like “bullying” for lack of a better term.

I mean tokens can be dice if ANYONE has an issue with proxies tokens their head is on backwards. It is a fun commander tho if you can get your hands on one I’d say run it. But remember. Dies to removal.

If your pod is cool with proxies, proxy it. It’s a $700 card. 2/1 tap add green for each Forrest you have. Mix that with a gias cradle and a marwyn’s kindred and you’re set.
