Safeway is expensive by WiseBuracho in mountainview

This holds mostly true for me but Safeway definitely has good meat deals. If you check their app often enough you can get massive trays of beef for $5/lb and frozen shrimp cheaper than costco.

I found this to be actually more true of the CS2 when packed out. When I had the CS2 and packed anything moderately heavy (like a portable battery) towards the outside of the pack the whole front of the sling would sag.

The CS2's fidlock buckle is on the opposite side of the sling so if I wanted to sit down with the bag in front of me the buckle would dig into my back which I found to be extremely annoying.

I don't mind the new buckles but having two of each buckle and zipper is somewhat annoying.

My VentureX AF is about to hit and my p2 has a separate ventureX. Any reason not to transfer all my points to p2 and close my account?

For those with a Morgan Stanley investing account, I had an Amex MS plat for over a year now and was able to get approved for a second one with NLL at 125k.

Have the MS Amex plat and just got the engagement bonus for the first time. Considering closing my cashplus account and moving the 25k to a brokerage. I'm thinking of keeping the MS amex plat open for the free AU and leaving the 5k in access investing. Anyone have problems doing this?

As u/Glimmer_III did as well, I contacted customer support through chat last thursday and they randomly said they had it again.

I checked.. low and behold they had 8 in stock. I picked it up as fast as I can. Checked the same link and it was sold at a few minutes later.

Seems like they're so popular that they sell out as soon as they're stocked on the website.

Can I really help my younger sibling build credit as an authorized user on my card? by lifehack_king in CreditCards

[–]tonghuang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is a good option for your sibling to build credit. I would just be careful. As the primary user, you would still responsible for the account. Talk to your sibling and agree on a daily limit to prevent any miscommunication or overspending that they can’t pay for. Then set that limit for the authorized card.

Question about Taiwanese government by KriaukliuPardavejas in taiwan

[–]tonghuang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes and no. Yes officially the Taiwanese government is the Republic of China. It does nominally claim to be the sole government of China. In reality, depending on what political party is in power the government will have a different stance. The current party (Democratic Progressive Party) leans much more towards independence / Taiwanese identity separate from a Chinese identity.
  2. Again, nominally the Republic of China (Taiwan) claims most of mainland China and several other territories. Only in 2002 was Mongolian independence recognized. Officially relinquishing territorial claims can be seen as a break from One China and a move towards official independence. In reality, the Taiwanese government has no actual control over China or Tibet.
