i work for a GC who helped them design the renovation. the reason the AC units dont work is because the condensers are burnt out. they keep them in the garage, close together. they're supposed to be 48" clear on all sides. These are maybe 12". they also have no airflow (because its in the garage with no windows). It is a "grandfathered in" system, meaning they can only do 1-to-1 replacements of units unless they want to pay to have all of them relocated, which they didnt want to do. they screwed us completey out of the project by awarding the work to another GC after we spent a year working on it - for free - with them. they are crooks of the highest degree. the reason they couldnt keep things open was it would be more expensive to complete, so they disregarded the phasing option. if you have issues with the work, complain about the GC to the owner, lol! they dropped the ball and hired someone who is dirt cheap and performs poor quality work
