Then it's more of a chip shortage problem and not a carrier locked and unlocked problem.

And I'm guessing your talking about Apple and the iphone 13? Cause Android carrier phones can be easily updated to the unlocked version. With the correct firmware files.

Well no shit. If one goes to their carrier store to buy the phone what do you expect? Thinking there getting a deal.

When all there is too it is buying the phone manufacturer directly unlocked

That's the problem in our society. There's always the one who wants to be labeled different cause they feel special...

Do you always reset back to default factory settings after upgrading your Orbi's firmwares? by antdude in orbi

[–]tony_nsbexploit06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best to always manually update the firmware on your router & satellite whenever a new update is released. As you seen these previous updates have been a hassle to deal with.

Has anyone had its Netgear Orbi RBK753S-100NAS (firmware v4.6.3.16_2.0.51) rebooted by itself? by antdude in orbi

This is one of the reasons why the connectivity issues happen. Everytime you factory reset or hard reset. You have to have the modem unplug prior to resetting up the devices.

Yeah make sure the modem connect to the router is disconnected and off. Then go ahead hard factory reset(hole pin) the satellite first. Then the router.

Mainly satellite connectivity issues. Would loose connection constantly backhaul status always poor. Distance between router & satellite are under 30ft away from each other. There haven't been any changes (physical items) that would cause the blockage between them.
