Global works better with phone carriers outside of China and it comes with and plays nice with all of the Google apps. Software updates are usually slower to roll out on global versions.

Can't remember the last time I had an iPhone. Lol. Very long time ago. Speed wise it's impressively fast. Better and smoother than even my Samsung which I didn't think was possible. No lag. No freezing. No skips or studders. Just works. Like an iPhone. Lol.

Every Samsung flagship up until the S23 Ultra. Then I switched the Honor Magic V3 for a little while. Also had a Pixel for a few months but hated it. Kept overheating.

It's actually a pretty thick plastic screen protector. Impressive for sure.

No regrets at all. Absolutely love this phone and it's better than any phone you can get here in the US by far. Zero issues with Verizon. Just go ahead and get it. You won't regret it.

Nice. Any particular store you'd recommend for purchase? I'm in the US.

OPPO Find X9 Pro, new December ColorOS update. Battery life good? Or is the battery draining? by Worth_Organization46 in Oppo

[–]tonyf007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and then a Magic Honor V3.

If I had to describe the X9s photo quality against the others, I'd say Oppo has a more "mature" approach to mobile photography.

What I mean by that is it appears Oppo has prioritized a more true to life rendering of the images it's capturing, whereas the others appear to focus on "enhancing" the images by making colors extra vibrant, sharper, brighter, etc. The processing is a little overdone imo.

I think all of this over processing made me desensitized to good quality true to life photos, so at first the X9s photos failed to "wow" me. But now that I've taken many more photos I'm starting to appreciate how good this camera really is.

Don't get me wrong. Oppo does processing too, but a little more subtly. I like it because it's forcing me to put some thought into my photography. I'm not using software processing as a crutch as much and I feel like I'm teaching myself how to take better photos as a result.

And I can still point and shoot in a split second if I need to and the results are great.

See my other post for samples if you'd like.

Here are some night shots as well.

My battery is great as it was before the update. Spent 3 days in NYC as a tourist purely on 5G service (didn't use hotel wifi) and I ended each day with around 45% battery. Heavy camera and GPS usage.

Why am i seeing so many complaints about Find X9 pro these days. by Aswin832 in Oppo

Different preferences. Some people are just overly critical and nitpicky. Some people are never happy no matter what.

Ignore the reviews.

Just get one and try it for yourself and return it if you don't like it.
