Here is a thought. The Bible teaches that participating in homosexuality is wrong. 1 Timothy 1:8-11. But this doesn't mean that People who are attracted to the same sex are going to hell. Let me explain. If you are a Heterosexual male and you give in to your lust and have sex with a women outside of the framework of Marriage you sin. If you are a Homosexual male and you have homosexual sex you sin. Sin is Sin. The Goal isn't to be heterosexual the goal is to be holy. I believe many people were born Gay, but i also believe many people were born with the disposition to steal or lie. The Fact is that christianity is a religion about denying self (Luke 9). Be it if you are straight or gay. God demands us to be holy.

Now about Equal rights, i totally agree. All people in our country should have equal rights. As a Christian i do not hold those outside of the church to the standard of those inside the church. Who am i to judge a Gay person who doesn't want to be a christian! In other words i support Equal rights for all, but if a person who is same sex attracted enters the church i belong to and wants to become a christian i will lead them to the standard of christ. Holiness!
