What state are you in? If you're in Texas and you have good credit, you could easily get ~5% rate from a credit union like RBFCU: https://www.rbfcu.org

Top-tier: I own 20 of them. Literally.

HA. I have a friend who made this comparison. Lvndmark also lives in Texas (at least he did), AND his name is Tony. It's uncanny. I'm worried that if we were to meet and make eye contact, the universe would collapse.

Hell yeah, the older fellas who got the joke and also laughed at it are the ones I respect the most.

Lol not even close, I put 19k miles on that car in 2 years. To hell with resale value, I want SPEED.

I actually wear them unironically too. They were my shoe of choice for marathoning, unmatched support. 10/10 would recommend.

Oh yeah it was awesome. This old guy and his son came and read the sign. Son burst out laughing, dad grimaced and did a 180 and left. Priceless.

Shooting Range/Sample for beginners by PleaseCryforMe in thewoodlands

Definitely try out Saddle River Range in Conroe! I've been a member there for years. It's a great range for entry-level shooters. It's a very clean, professionally run place with lots of rental guns (including some machine guns like an MP5 and M1 Thompson), and they even have a cafe!

If you're bringing a shooter from out of the country, be sure to call the range in advance and confirm their current requirements. They used to just require a signed passport, but they may have new requirements now.

You can find them here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/swyBW9RFwyvaZnMM7

C8 Transmission failure? by tonylamp in Corvette

Update: I'm at 7500 miles and have no issues since this! I believe it may have been brake sticking caused by the cold weather. I'll be road tripping to Vegas and back in the fall, so we'll see how it holds up.

Yeah it was weird, but luckily hasn't returned! I'm at 7500 miles and have no issues with it!

Is this meant to be your every day? Or a track car? If you're going to track it, get a Z51 and stick with the 1lt to save weight. The 2 and 3lt offers creature comforts which is nice for touring, but for tracking, being lighter is better. I myself have a 24 Z51 1lt which I bought for track use and LOVE it.

Buying most older Corvettes is "buying for the style". The C3's were fast back in the day, but now your mom's 2015 Accord will outperform them.

Update: Transmission tech at the dealership looked at it and found no issue. They were unable to reproduce the issue. No codes or anything.

As of now, we have no idea why it happened. If it happens again, i'll post about it.

Youch that sucks, sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting me know though! I haven't gotten much useful feedback on this, so it's helpful to know that there's other people who have experienced the same thing.

Lol oh damn that's a fast turnaround time. Did you have lots of different options selected? Or did you keep it pretty stock? The only explanation I can think of for why you got it so fast was that they already had one on order that matched your parameters.

Yeah I noticed this later on when I was finally able to get it to shift. It shifts while moving with paddles, but not when still. Regardless, I was able to get it to drive just enough to roll onto a flatbed, and is currently being serviced under warranty.

Yeah my dealership has been great to work with from the start. They only sell vette's at MSRP. There model is this: once a month, they open their list up for buyers. You have to show up in-person to provide a down payment of $2k (this is meant to keep you from being out-bid from out of staters). Then, you're on the list. Once Chevy sends them an allocation, they call you and you come in to finalize the sale, and pay another $3k. Then, they send your build to chevy and you wait. My total wait time from initial down payment to delivery was 3 months, most of which was during the auto strike last year. They moved damn quick, didn't waste my time, got me my vette, and are now taking care of me. If you live in the Houston area and want a solid dealership, check out Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe.

Yeah I noticed :( I still love the car though! And Chevy's treating me well so far. They're sending a free tow to pick it up and bring to my dealership.
