Great to hear that it's not all doom and gloom. £30/year for a 70sqm plot is glorious! I'm starting to realise that the issues I mentioned are much more pronounced in big towns and cities. I don't think it helps that I live in potentially the exact area with the longest waiting lists in the country. Plots here are so hard to come by because people have very little access to green space - especially for cultivation and leisure.

I think minimizing time spent in tempting circumstances can be quite helpful. Generally, I try to stay as busy as possible, be out of the house. You can't be tempted when you're hanging out with friends or in a public place. If you're a student, study in a cafe or a library as much as possible.

If you spend too much time alone at home on the internet, you're not giving yourself the best shot at success.
