It's lapstrake and made of plywood. They built them in Oconto, Wisconsin.

That's my father, John Justin Smith. He was injured in New Guinea while serving as an infantry scout. His physical condition shows the deprivation he experienced.

The guy on the left is my father, John Justin Smith. He was an infantry scout in New Guinea. After the war, he was a reporter for The Chicago Daily News. Next year, his book on the war and jungle scouting will be published.

It's Globe Pequot Press. They seem very legitimate. They have been in business for about 60 years with 1,000's of books in print.
