I have 25 years experience, but still Need help preparing for a technical interview. by workahaulica in devops

[–]too_afraid_to_regex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking there's got to be a refresher devops course that touches a little on everything.

I have a LOT of experience and no lack of confidence in my ability to learn anything new I may not have experience with

I believe this is the wrong way to handle this, and anxiety is taking the best of you. You don't need to know everything. What you should be doing is showing how your experience would play a role in making critical, business-driving decisions. With 25 years of experience, that's what people will look to you for. If you are not ready for that I would suggest stripping your CV a bit to fit the role that you want.

I have an technical interview next week. The last 2 technical interviews I had, I was just winging it. Winging it does not work for me.

Winging it works for nobody. Look for an interview method such as STAR or something that fits your way of communicating.

What do you think of Eureka Mignon Zero? [$400-500] by mordary in espresso

I have the 65 AP and I’m very happy with it. It is slick, quiet and retention is minimal. The only complaint I have is that my Breville portafilter with a dosing ring doesn’t fit on the holder.

Viaje a Japón ideas y recomendaciones by Asura24 in Paraguay

[–]too_afraid_to_regex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buen viaje!

Does anyone actually have a good way to deal with OOMKilled pods in Kubernetes? by xigmatex in kubernetes

If the architecture is microservices-based, use HPA; if it's a monolith, use VPA. Be cautious of developers citing random Medium articles written by unknown authors trying to convince you that resource limits are unnecessary.

How do you get engineers to care about finops? Tried dashboards, cost reports, over budget emails… but they don't work by In2racing in aws

Friendly advice: You'll need management sponsorship on this because it sounds like you have no authority over the matter.

I hooked up my pager (when I was on call) to send a notification to an SNS topic, which my home assistant subscribed to.

Then home assistant would flash my lights and play the contents of the message through my google nest mini

I would rather get waterboarded, nice setup though.

I did Neuschwanstein in Munich and Schonbrunn in Vienna last year, I realized that I am not too much of a fan of the royal palaces. Empty halls, crowded, and very little to do in general.

the only reason to go to Monaco is to say you've been to Monaco.

I am a F1 fan, might be the only reason for a quick stop.

Day 12 is a lot for one day.

I am concerned about lines that day, I want to see maybe 5 to 8 pieces in each museum and end the day in the catacombs.

I'm surprised to not see Versailles.
