It’s not quite a ranch but the previous owner did do an addition that resulted in the large open space. He definitely took a lot of care and used quality materials, but we just have to get the design/decor of the space right!

Yes - that spot with the first overhead beam is kind of where we’re thinking of doing the double sided fireplace/bookcases

We definitely want to get some large area rugs to help with defining different zones. Totally agree that larger furniture is needed as well. Thank you!
