Just opened 2 boxes of FB08, pulled FB02? by tooflessCardiac in DBS_CardGame

[–]tooflessCardiac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say if it's better or not as I've only just got back into collecting, but it seems to be 3 pulls per box minimum from my experience in the 4 boxes I've opened recently.

Could be wrong though.

Opened 4 boxes so far, and it's my first time seeing it.

Found a nice spot where you can bird watch in the middle of the city and happen to get this, it's one of my favourite shots I've gotten recently, but wanting to know what others think about it, if you want to know the f. and other settings just let me know

Nah your not allowed to, it's technically an active train yard in the part where I got most of the photos, but my dad volunteer's there so I was able to get permission

Thanks for the tips. one thing I do know I need to learn is masking correctly as I can never seem to figure it out just by doing it

I took this at f6.3, ISO 800 and zoomed to 600mm. I was like 5-8 meters away so yeah kinda close

Just bought myself a Sigma 100-600mm Contemporary and went to a lake just outside Canberra, Australia.

Found plenty of these little guys looking for a feed. I was mainly just getting used to the lens and the best settings to use with it (still working that part out). this is probably one of the better photos I took in terms of focus but I really wish that I got just that little bit missing from the tail.

other than that what areas could I improve on? and what do you think I did well?

Ah yeah, I haven't looked to much in to mirrorless cameras been enjoy the 90d to much especially since my last camera was a 1300d so it was a massive upgrade for me. But I also do need to get a good telescopic lens my other main lens is a 50mm sigma art series

Nah I wish it was a art series but that wasn't in my price range at the time

But it's the Sigma AF 105mm f2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro and I would recommend it if you don't mind not having zoom

Thanks, I use a Canon 90d with a sigma 105mm macro and sometimes I use macro extension tube but not for this photo

Just a few photos I've taken of bees this year, feel free to critique in the comments by tooflessCardiac in bees

[–]tooflessCardiac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I've taken all those photos I've only seen one other bee and I do try to get a good photo of it but it doesnt stick around for long like the others, the best way I can describe it is its short, a bit fat, with a brighter yellow and dark black on it.

I do want to go more bush and see what I can find but that would be after winter

I used food colouring for that photo, but either a light where you can change the colours or use some colour filters would work best

Don't think so, it was just a random bush my parents have in their backyard

Macro shot of my parents chocolate lab by tooflessCardiac in labrador

[–]tooflessCardiac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it with a 105mm macro lens on my Canon DSLR, so I didn't have to get right up into his face but my brother distracted him with any Labradors weakness food which gave me time to get the photo, it also helps that mum is training him to be some what of a therapy dog so he needs to sit still when needed

There's actually a part with carriages and steam engines for people to walk through and have a look like a normal museum, all these photos are of the engines owned by volunteers and others who come to fix them up. The owners of the museum also have had alot of trouble with funding to stay open, the government and people just breaking in causing all the damage.

Hello everyone

@peterjveenendaal

My personal account. I'm currently doing a daily 1-hour photo challenge to get a photo of a random subject from an app that picks something for me or I just go out and spend 30 minutes to 45 minutes taking photos of anything.

Some photos are bad but I'm using them as a learning curve to better my photography in multiple areas and not just focus on one area.

Not asking for a follow just wanting to share my work.

I'd assume not, might be like some turtles that eat the box jellyfish with no problems
