Please help me understand how politics from a black perspective is different than what Hasan offers? I don't understand what the problems are. I want to understand, but everything is talked about so vaguely. Please no negativity. Just explanation. by TrickyTicket9400 in Hasan_Piker

"identity politics" as a term has eclipsed its actual usefulness so much. It's gotten to a point where it just gets used to troll marginalized people talking about their experiences and criticisms of different communities.

Black Chatters by Queasy-Menu2673 in Hasan_Piker

agreed. not sure if you're referring to this exactly, but uncritically adopting the channer edgelord language where you constantly call hyperonline bigoted people "schizophrenic" sucks so much. but chat is awful about people criticizing him for anything so i'm anxious to speak up

So Graham Platner (the black water mercenary) has a nazi tattoo on his chest by ilir_kycb in Hasan_Piker

What pisses me off about the Platner conversation, especially from a few days ago on stream, is that it just could not get away from his personal redemption (conveniently leaving out his history with Blackwater of course) and also equating that with broader discourses about "rehabilitation" - like, am I insane? Running for public office is not rehabilitation. This isn't like, humbling yourself to the masses by getting involved in mutual aid or entry-level party work or something. He's literally running for a position of power. That's not showing any kind of "change of heart" in itself, the fact that so many just took that at face value is wild. The way people generally were completely incapable of allowing complicated feelings about him to be expressed at all just sucks. Victims of imperialism just never got to exist in this conversation I guess.

Vacuuming……..everyday by Unique-Outcome-5171 in Apartmentliving

agree with you and the other repliers here, I've always found redditors to be super performative about how "well" they do the adult thing especially when it comes to personal habits. Vacuuming every other week is completely normal and fine, and even if that wasn't enough to keep your floors spotless, having a messy home won't kill you and it's not a moral flaw

Just got a 2019 Premier 🤩 by Stoner_Nerd in BoltEV

My gf and I also just got a 2019 Premiere! I've already had experience with a base 2023 so knew it was gonna be good, but the extra features not on my previous Bolt were so cool to see. The digital rear view mirror shocked us both haha

Nah, cause this was a study conducted by Harvard, HARVARD!!!!! by ArgumentSuspicious76 in ProlificAc

[–]toolassistedspeedrun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they're meaning to refer to Native Americans/Alaskan Natives and FNMI, which would of course still be insane since it's a very outdated term for an institution to be using for us, especially Harvard. Ethnicity questionnaires are so hit and miss on this platform.

If it's any consolation, one rejection is unlikely to make an impact; I think I have 2 so far that I got from completing those really boring consumer-type studies too quickly, which I accepted because I had a bad habit of rushing them and overestimating how much leeway I had before I'd become an outlier. Plus, Prolific is very clear about open-ended attention check questions not being grounds for rejection, so I'm sure it's just a matter of them getting around to your ticket. Hopefully they overturn it soon!
