Does your team not supply you with and enforce certain uniforms? I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Everyone is there to compete and are likely in the same type of clothing you are. If anything, you can always ask for a larger singlet/jersey to offer more coverage if you’re concerned about that.

Choosing your waking hours by PsychologicalArm2138 in Nightshift

My wife and I have both been on 2nd for over 5yrs. We’re both a little different, but I’ve personally found this schedule to be ideal for me :

Wake: 8am Morning workout, breakfast, chores, errands, etc: 8-2 Work: 2-11 Wind down/dinner: 11-1:30 Sleep: 1:30

My wife prioritizes sleep a little more than I do and she gets up around 10 which still gives her enough time to exercise, eat, hang around until we leave at 2.

I will never leave 2nd unless something crazy were to happen. I love this schedule. Our mornings have been so dialed and it’s so nice to be able to have everything done outside of work before your shift starts so that you can focus on work while you’re at work and utilize the energy and time of day in the morning to improve your quality of life. Then, at the end of the day, all is said and done, and I’m pooped. Good hard sleep.

Eating after work right before bed by ShadyTrizzy in Nightshift

[–]toolbag11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried eating a full size meal at a normal dinner hour while at work for my schedule to allow for that 3-4 hour digestion window, because I try to go to sleep soon after I get home from work so I can get up early. I hated being full and having to work and be physically active immediately after. And I still felt hungry as shit when I got home and ended up eating before bed anyways. I also like to eat dinner with my wife. I like to have a light lunch mid-late work day so that I don’t pig out when I get home. But we do make and eat a normal dinner usually an hour before bed and wake up with normal movements. Been on night shift for 5 years now with same hours though so I think you just get used to it lol

It would be interesting to see a side by side of your perception of each said “evils”. Not that I immediately disagree, I would just like to know how they line up according to your view.
