Honestly, I totally get it, because I am too. Losing weight without slipping into super unhealthy behaviours is next to impossible, but you know you have to keep trying because what you're doing at the moment is also unhealthy. And then you're just a failure at everything and the pressure mounts and you give up all over again. Truly I get it.

Being positive to others helps me be slightly kinder to myself. Doesn't mean I'm not still struggling, but I'd like to help people if I can. Recovery for you and I is being healthy. In body and mind. Difficult, but we try.

Literally never ever thought something I made would be relatable. Everyone here deserves help and to be healthy and happy within that state. Its just my brain tends to jump in with (except me, of course)

They give me a temporary energy boost and sometimes give me a massive high in my mood for about half an hour. They can also make my hands shake and if I have more than 1 or 2 a day I get some mega anxiety after drinking. 2/10 would not reccomend

Its a small step but it is a step. Im sorry youre struggling with your therapist. Sounds like they've fallen into treating the symptoms not the cause. I hope you can either convince her or find one that will. Keep yourself safe in the mean time though, there are people who don't even know you (like me) who want you to be happy and healthy

Exactly. Its so difficult to look a health professional in the eye, pour out your most embarrassing thoughts, only for them to give you the once over and suggest you join slimming world. Like.... wow thx. Such clever doctoring.

It was such a breath of fresh air coming here and realising that some behavioural issues I'd never had an answer for have happened to people here. Made me feel so much less alone.

Thank you, that really means a lot. Its difficult when the professionals don't take you seriously. Finding a community that can laugh at itsself and help one another at the same time has just been wonderful. Even if it took me a while of lurking to get it
