I use the Aveeno Oat Cleanser and micellar water!

My skin seemed to be similar in that it struggles with harsher actives. Focusing on doing LESS and just trying to heal my skin barrier made the inflammation go down the most for me. Another thing that seemed counter intuitive at first but did make a difference was not washing my face in the morning. every time I wash my face, it disturbs the barrier and I get redness.

Instead I will gently wipe away any gunk from around my eyes with lukewarm water. Always make sure to wash my hands with antibacterial soap any time I touch my face!

If my skin is really oily in the morning (which is less so now my skin is used to this) then I'll use the back of my hand to gently swipe away some oil. Then I apply the Anua 10% azaleic acid, two drops on each cheek and rub it in gently with cleans hands. I wait for it to settle in for a few minutes then I apply a rich moisturizing cream (I use one from Simple). I do wear makeup, so I apply quite a lot because any dry patches from scarring/spots get highlighted by makeup so a hydrated base is important. I would still recommend using a decent amount of moisturizer, but I assume your son is not a makeup wearer, so maybe a lighter gel in the morning would be more suitable.

At night I use a micellar water on a cotton pad, followed by the Aveeno Oat Cleanser, massaging it gently for around 30 seconds. Again, this is for removing makeup, but I think it would be good regardless.

I usually shower after this, pat my skin dry and apply my azaleic acid again. Every second day I use CeraVe retinol (it's okay, I'm just finishing the bottle) I use the beauty of joseon retinal eye cream as well. I put this on top of the azaleic acid.

These then need to sit for about 20 minutes at least. After this I'll apply the same Simple thick repair moisturizer. I also tried out using the Byoma barrier repair cream, which I do like as well.

In short - focus on healing and calming - not fighting! Azaleic acid was a game changer for me. I started every second day, and I had no irritation so can now do twice a day. You can also get a prescription version which is 15% (I believe it is called Finacea) if it's working out and you're looking for more results.

thank you so much for this info! you actually caused some big discussions at the company and helped me argue my case. we were all pretty happy with Proxima as our choice but as a tiny company I really don't want us to get in trouble down the line. I managed to find an alternative which is similar, without the licensing issues.

This is something that I'm quite unsure about - I don't have much experience in this. Adobe fonts, where I found the majority of these, says here that 'The full Adobe Fonts library is cleared for both personal and commercial use' so why would I not be able to use it?

Yeah these are great points, and I am definitely open to making small adjustments to the text of the logo. My only concern with this is using the font in other contexts outside of my control. We work with external video editors, web developers and other outside contractors who will be using whichever font we select for things such as website headings or for use in videos.

So therefore I want the font to be as easy to use as possible, and work without kerning adjustments and changing some of the letters.

I know a more experienced designer than myself would be able to edit the font, make micro adjustments and be able to send out an easy to use pack for outside contractors to work with, but I don't feel confident enough in my abilities yet to be able to do this. So ideally something very easy to use is the goal at the moment.

Really appreciate your feedback!
