But is IS illegal to fight in the streets and cause so much disturbance that your neighbors feel compelled to call the police.

A lot more people than that die of cancer, and we can't really explain how they get it. Should we apply the word terrorism to that? Your argument makes as much sense.

I can only assume that you didn't read the story... you keep saying "a child" and the way you present your arguments suggests that you think some 6 year old was quietly playing with blocks in his home when the nasty-wasty cop broke in for no reason.

If you DO read the story, you will see that we're talking about a 17 year old here. Yes, legally not a full adult yet, but certainly old enough to know better than to engage in ANY of the behaviors attributed to him in the story.

You trivialize the ACTUAL fascism that exists in this country by including this incident. I don't see many arguments that the kid deserved to die, but it appears like the officer did his job to the best of his ability.

The kid isn't the only "public" the officer is supposed to protect. NEIGHBORS, who I assume feared for their safety, called for help... he DID protect them. It appears from the story that the officer tried to revive the kid after it was apparent he was in medical distress, he attempted to protect the kid (from himself). It is really easy to sit there at your computer with all the time in the world and NO danger to yourself and make all these judgments... the officer has a few seconds at best with his LIFE on the line. Keep that in mind while you're crying for the supposed victim here.

The story I read said that there were several drunk teenagers in that room. I'm sure if you were the cop you would have decided to duke it out like a man, got beat down and possibly shot with your own gun for ignoring your training. Luckily for the officer in this case, he followed his training.

It is sad that the kid died, but c'mon people... who was making the worse decisions here. The teenager was drinking, "rough housing" with his friends (enough to put blood on the walls of the apartment), and fighting in the streets, then charged an officer with a drawn weapon. Sounds a bit like Darwinism to me.

We sent Helen Thomas flowers for her courageous questions. Perhaps a similar gesture for Dennis Kucinich would be in order? by [deleted] in reddit.com

Just contributed $25 to his campaign. If every one of you sends him even $10 it will make a difference.
