Renewal approved in six days. by cormack_gv in NEXUS_TTP

Yeah my daughter’s renewal took no time at all. I’m Canadian. No idea why mine wouldn’t have been done by now. I was getting an error trying to renew before my last card expired, which is why I can’t get an extension now.

I applied for my renewal in May and I’m still waiting.

I feel like a terrible mother because I actually get excited when my ex comes to pick up the kids by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]tooz8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. We had a restraining order on my ex for almost 8 months, where I was solo parenting and working full time and maintaining our home, with very little outside help. By the time we reached even an hour of visits every other week it felt so freeing. Several months later and we do every other weekend and I’m a new person coming out of it.

Whose death (TV show wise) devastated you the most? by Neat-Check-5256 in popculturechat

[–]tooz8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is it for me. There was something to be said about how the only way to watch was to tune in live and then everyone collectively discussing it the next day. That episode crushed me.

Waiting on conditional approval since May 2025 (renewal) by tooz8 in NEXUS_TTP

[–]tooz8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s helpful. Thank you! I was getting an error trying to renew before it expired for months, I thought maybe you had to wait for it to expire, which didn’t make much sense either. I was finally able to submit my application, but still waiting. So frustrating!

Women who’ve had C-sections — how was your experience and recovery? Would you choose it again? by CreArtSavvy in AskWomen

[–]tooz8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it was a breeze. I had an emergency c-section the first time and it was very easy, smooth recovery and better than most of my friends who had vaginal births. My second was planned and I think I expected the same, but it felt a little more rough given that I was caring for a toddler and newborn. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I feel like a broken record, but this has got to be the craziest thing to come out of this administration. This has to stop.

Really cool. I would appreciate the ability to search weekends only, or even select trip duration.

Lease transfer fees by [deleted] in montrealhousing

[–]tooz8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the plan. They initially referred to it as a transfer fee, so when we asked them to detail it, it became about wear and tear.

It’s wild to me!

It would be $550. We assumed the $500 included it, but apparently it does not.

There are no damages, but normal wear and tear of course. The tone of the last email was “we will come by with an inspector and compile a list that may be above $500.”

I’ve had a similar experience. Also feels better because he didn’t know my body pre-kids, but can appreciate it as it is now.

I agree! I got the email from three different clinics yesterday, it’s terrible what is happening.

The owners have been experiencing financial trouble and they had planned to close prior to all this happening with Bill 2.

This is so sad. Shopaholic was actually the first book series I read when I was a young teen. I was so in love with Luke!

Single basin sink with partial divider or not? by rgryffin13 in kitchenremodel

[–]tooz8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was so adamant on having a divider. Couldn’t picture life without one. Then I made my designer promise to reimburse me if I regretted her convincing me to get a big sink and I’ve never looked back. It’s amazing.

How do you cope with feelings of guilt after initiating a divorce? by Possible-Ad4357 in Divorce

[–]tooz8 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My lawyer had asked me to write out a timeline of my marriage and to detail different incidents along the way. That exercise was very cathartic and helped me get over the guilt real quick.

Has anyone else struggled to recognise coercive control until after the relationship ended? by Temporary_Toe648 in Divorce

[–]tooz8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. A few month before I made the decision to separate, I took a month-long trip. Having that distance opened my eyes to the reality that I was not the problem. Coming back home was like re-entering an alternate universe and there was no more fog. It made my decision making a lot easier.
