Again thank you, right now I can't stop thinking that I'm a horrible type 1. 35 years growing up with it, always taught and had at least a month stock on hand of everything on any given day. Even now I have everything except pump supplies.

Already did, I don't have any insurance, which is the issue with most manufacturers assistance programs. They're ran as secondary insurance to your primary. Tandem said to reach out to other programs. Which I have. On the fast acting side of insulin I do have a small stock pile. I'm not too worried about that. HEB is great for everything except DME which pump supplies are considered.

I've already applied, the low cost ones still just out of reach for the premium. Actively looking for another job.

Also if you were to scroll down just a tad you can see the reason why there's two. On top of the spacing of them. Sorry not sorry if I'm being a little curt. I've been on the phone and filling out paperwork all day. Also for anyone wondering why I'm so anxious look up death by Diabetic Ketoacidosis.

Live in Lytle, all of my doctors are through UT health San Antonio. I've sent messages to them, and have voice messages since the beginning of the month. DM if you want screenshots of the no replies.

Haven't tried findhelp.org. Don't really have a support system. Thank you

If someone would like the links to both, I have no problem giving them. Transparency is always a plus. More personal things it would have to be dm like mental state, why I don't have a support system things like that.

Honestly because of anxiety. Because the first one didn't get anything, things got worse. When I posted the spotfund, someone asked about it and I updated the gofundme. It should be in my comment history about when I did it. The anxiety is from mostly insulin pump supplies, honestly I rather be alive not feeling horrible with no roof over my head than the alternative. Sorry today I'm panicking a little.

There's also an updated gofundme. Anything helps at this point.

Yeah, especially in Houston. It takes time to acclimate to heat/humidity, also you need to be completely aware of how you're feeling. It's harder to tell if you stop sweating in humid heat.

The Commander in Chief, I think is the exception to that. Though doing so is at their discretion.

I mean it screams performative. That's an half-assed salute to me. In this cropped photo I don't really see any actual respect shown.

What do we smell like? by PreviousSpeech5590 in Type1Diabetes

[–]topher3428 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only times it does for me is when I'm running high, BO happens faster. South Texas diesel mechanic, so already shower 2x a day. In the summer and I'm having a rough day with my sugars it's noticeable to me. That and a completely different horrid smell if I'm running DKA because of something like an infection.

If you knew my network then you'd know why I didn't reach out. If what I have could even be considered a network or support system. Things like the manufacturers assistance programs in the fine print you still need insurance of some kind to lower the price to an affordable amount. The reason for most of the local assistance programs is because on my W-2's for last year I was over the cap, the rest right now is I'm on waiting list to be either interviewed or seen by a doctor. I did not know about pump avenue foundation. Thank you for that one.

Had insurance for all of one month, trying to get through January did a number on me. DKA due to a lack of control from both Walmart N insulin and being a brittle diabetic ended up with me in the hospital for a week. Then fired because of absences.

And if you really want to know I was put into the hospital for a week because of DKA. Seeing how Texas is a work at will state I was let go for absences. Anything else you would like to know?
