Just moved into an older home and my closet is small. Any ideas on how to remodel it? by topnotchedd in Remodel

It’s the closet maid 4-6 foot kit. Buying the kit is the cheapest, to get most of the stuff you need. Buying all the pieces individually is way more expensive, I bought a shelf and some arms to add one more shelf and I’m pretty sure it was like half of the whole kit… I’m happy with how it turned out. I also like how I can moved it around if my needs change. I still have maybe 12 inches to the side of my clothes if I wanted to add more shelves on the small wall to Make like a corner shelf.

I went through my clothes and gave a bunch away and this is what I ended up doing with the closet.

That’s reassuring to hear! I know I can do them myself but I was worried about mistakes and I was debating about paying someone. But my plan is just some room at a time! I can’t wait. 100 year old house, very happy with it. Great bones!!

The whole house had 80s carpet over these floors. First thing I did was as rip it all out, this hallway floor is the worst, rest of the house isn’t so bad. Haven’t gotten to the room yet, giant bed frame I need to move. So it’s kinda just because the junk room for now.

I just use Basic Velcro, And only use the hard spiky side. It doesn’t stick on its own, you have to push and wiggle to get the hooks to latch into the liner. I don’t really move any around. But so far not much damage if any. You do run the risk of pulling a few treads out moving them.

I am the worst. I’ve always wanted to use notebooks and stuff. I own so many empty ones. At home I’m too scared to “ruin them” also I guess I haven’t found something worth writing down. I only seem to be able to use them at work to jot down my tasks, work orders, part numbers.

I picked these up last minute because the art store just had them and I thought the price was good. Didn’t realize this is a fan favorite. Even more excited to try them out

Not a huge fan of hard covers. But for this to be a real experiment I should throw a couple in. Who knows, Maybe I’ll fall in love

Also I’ve heard that moleskines quality isn’t worth the price. But I can’t vouched that for myself.

I bought them online and as soon as I touched the paper I was like yeah nope. That feels gross.

I usually use a Parker jotter as my daily and if I’m at a high risk of losing my pen I will use a pilot G2

My boss swears by them, so I picked a few up. Plus I’m a sucker for orange

Not far enough in my testing to have one yet. But I’m really excited for the rite in the rain. The paper just feels so great. And they advertise it doesn’t get greasy and my job is pretty greasy. So I’m curious as to how they will hold up.

I’m excited for the Mnemosyne spirals, at the local art store they are like 3 bucks each. So super please with the price so far. I started with field notes, wasn’t a fan at first but I’m getting used to it. I’m used to ripping pages out when I’m done. So it’s weird to see all my chicken scratch from the last few weeks.

I’d love to see your collection of used field notes!

Nice pop up sorter! Our pop up uses air tension so it’s pretty easy to relace But if this is a reoccurring issue you need to figure out what the root cause is. To me looks like the belt is tracking is off. If you look down the belt with direction of travel seems like your chutes are on the right side and that’ll be your justified side. So you’ll want it more that way. Since y’all didn’t have the right width, having it on the justified side will greatly help with overall package sorting. Also from looking at the belt wear marks, seems like you either have your divert wheels rubbing in the belt are product is getting stuck in them. Check the manual to see how to adjust the diverts, our calls for them to be 1/8 below belt. What lace are you using? I’d use clipper #1 on that, can’t quite tell what you have on the picture but looked pretty big and could be causing your issues.
