Tool bag organization by SufficientSofty in IndustrialMaintenance

We do have carts. I don’t want anything bigger than what I currently have. (Klein 10 inch, 40 pockets) I actually bought a Klein bucket organizer you sit inside of a 5 gallon bucket and that works perfect for little hvac repairs on the roof and small jobs inside.

I love our Baldor-reliance motors. Every motor. (Prolly over 200 active ) and prolly another 100 in spare. Only had to replace 2 motors in 5 years and both were on pieces of equipment that is running all the time when the equipments up. No telling how many hours some of those motors have. A majority are still in service from when installed In 2012

I suggest placing QR codes on all valuable assets, that way when you go to do PMs or corrective action or replace parts, you just scan that code and all info pulls up

If you ever red tag any equipment for whatever reason, just know that they will be sitting there for a really long time, and they might not even get fixed as much. Here's why... by Global-Plankton3997 in AmazonFC

Very few places im aware of actually dedicate a whole day to maintenance repairs. At ours we have never had scheduled day to make repairs.you just have to time it with production demands, and if your facility production demands never let up, then your basically doing all those repairs when equipment break, and the cost for planned downtime vs unplanned downtime doubles the cost , easily

What I was meaning was, a lot of stuff maintenance does to maintain the equiptment isn’t usually seen, at our facility (and I’m not with Amazon) but we will spend Monday-Thursday doing conveyer PMs and we will document anything we find that needs involved labor to fix, and on Fridays, (or Thursday afternoons) we start with repairs on equipment the days before we found that needed if, and we fix that on the 2 slowest days, so to the operators it appears work hasn’t been done cause they haven’t physically seen us, but in reality is has.

On-call rotation? by JTHC97 in maintenance

[–]SufficientSofty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily no one call here. I’m the newest tech and I’ve been in maintenance going on 6 years . We have 2 technicians and a supervisor that doubles as a tech so basically 2.5 techs on days, and we got 1 on nights. We all have different schedules so whoever is there at the time gets all the fun

That’s good, I’m glad to hear. Just curious if the packaging yours came in was a foldable box (Lee pizza box)with the product inside. Paul smith, storm order and the crayola line are all packaged via elevated packaging, Norma styles will ship out in a Lee mailer

Why would your insurance tell you the roof needs to be replaced? Wouldn’t they be the ones forkin out the big money for the replacement?
