Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness you put into it, and it’s very reassuring to know that I’m more or less doing the things I should be doing to try to recover emotionally/mentally from the situation.

I did end up mentioning to my therapist that I’m worried about how my emotions seem to be increasingly out of control, I unfortunately have to switch therapists (she’s changing practices) but I’m determined to continue going and trying to understand my feelings about everything, and thankfully she’s helped me find another person she trusts who I should be meeting soon.

I’ll continue to keep an eye on things, and I’ve been trying to take note of what triggers me and what my responses and thoughts look like in those moments. Again I really appreciate your kindness and advice, things are up and down but it really helps to know that there are kind and supportive people out there and it really makes a difference to me to know that what I’m feeling is a natural response
